A long time gone

Ok... so it's been a long time since I've updated my journal (or anything on here really)..

Anyway... Boy Gets Girl came and went and was received quite well I think.

After that I basically took a break and have been fairly dormant ever since.

Two nights ago however the Lyrebird awards took place... basically an Eastern Melbourne Theatre awards.

I was in two of the nominated productions... Boy Gets Girl and The Good Doctor... both plays took a number of awards... including Best Actor in a Comedy.... which was won by.... ME!

Yes I won an acting award :D

I'm rather flattered and really quite chuffed :)

And so now I just need to hope that spills into further work that leads me to bigger and better things.

Speaking of bigger and better things... this Wednesday I have an audition for a feature film... it's probably low budget and independent... but it's a feature :) So I'm hoping that goes well :D

That's about all I'll write for the moment but just thought I'd do a brief catch up on what's going on.

That all sounds awesome... singing lessons - so jealous. That'll be great too... Hugh Jackman IS a star. Glad to see it's all going well.

Well the Floating Brothel finally aired... I must get around to doing screen captures of that. The next two to go to ABC are Curtin and Bastard Boys, plus I did one small bit of extra work on "The King" the Graham Kennedy biopic.

I'm currently about to start the season of "The Good Doctor" in which I play the narrator (Anton Chekhov :) )

Following that hopefully my voice work will be broadcast with the campaign for National Youth Week 2007.

And other than that... just chasing leads and trying to make more of a career... also my girlfriend has offered to pay for me to get singing lessons... apparently she sees a great deal of potential there... so who knows... I could end up doing entertainment the way Hugh Jackman does (I can dream ;) )
