Ok... so it's been a long time since I've updated my journal (or anything on here really)..

Anyway... Boy Gets Girl came and went and was received quite well I think.

After that I basically took a break and have been fairly dormant ever since.

Two nights ago however the Lyrebird awards took place... basically an Eastern Melbourne Theatre awards.

I was in two of the nominated productions... Boy Gets Girl and The Good Doctor... both plays took a number of awards... including Best Actor in a Comedy.... which was won by.... ME!

Yes I won an acting award

I'm rather flattered and really quite chuffed

And so now I just need to hope that spills into further work that leads me to bigger and better things.

Speaking of bigger and better things... this Wednesday I have an audition for a feature film... it's probably low budget and independent... but it's a feature So I'm hoping that goes well

That's about all I'll write for the moment but just thought I'd do a brief catch up on what's going on.

Ok... so I've been really slack on here recently... partly due to moving house and partly just due to me being slack (though my computer has been acting up a lot recently).

First news is I saw Dave Matthews Band's concert on their second tour of Australia It was awesome (as expected) and pictures can be seen in the usual place

Second bit of news is my next play opens this week... not only that but it is a 23 show run (roughly 5 weeks) so I expect to be spending very little time on here in that time (especially if I still don't have ADSL back by then).

It's also now official that I am living with my partner and this month marked 6 months together... so yay for me

Hope everyone is well and I appologise for not commenting more on your work etc... I'm just really slack.

Ok... so I've been back in Melbourne for some time now... but I've also been busy (or at least at Narelle's place... ergo no internet access). Anyway... I'll give a quick up date here as to what's gone on.

Back into "The Good Doctor" rehearsals... it's getting there... I still have a few sections of lines that are causing trouble... but we have a little over two weeks left... so should be fine.

I did another bit of extra work... on "The King" the Graham Kennedy telemovie/telebio/miniseries (whatever they are making it into).

I saw my partner perform in "Solitaire" which is "more than a Karen Carpenter tribute show" (also went to her last night performing but didn't get to watch as it was booked out... so I took pictures in one of the funky rooms of the Butterfly Club where it was performed.

The student film I was in last year has now been sent to Tropfest and I should be getting my DVD of it this week... would be excellent if it gets accepted... even if it doesn't win... it will just be awesome exposure for me

Um I think that's about all that's been going on... I'm sorry I haven't been commenting etc that much... but I have had much less active access to my computer etc for some time now... maybe in a few months or so if living arrangments change it might get easier... we shall see
